Interesting to see how the story evolved through the years. I really liked the story of Beren and Luthien in The Silmarillion so it was nice to read more about it. Though the part in verse was a bit hard to follow plotwise in the audiobook, but sounded very beautiful.

El encanto es, obviamente, que es una especie de ampliación a la historia de Beren y Lúthien, que si bien es la más larga de El Silmarillion, sentía que le faltaban detalles. La incorporación de escritos anteriores ayuda a entender algunas partes de la leyenda (sobre todo los nombres) que no habían quedado claros originalmente, pero no deja de ser un libro editado por Christopher, lo que implica que es bastante menos llevadero que cualquier escrito del padre (y que incurre en el yo yo a menudo como recordándonos que ÉL es el artífice de nuestro conocimiento de parte de la obre del padre). Por lo demás, un poema épico por Tolkien es todo lo que esta chica necesita para ser feliz (y lo tuvo)

Another deep lore and histories of Middle earth. Parts of stories cobbled together by both father and son Tolkein.  Beautiful symbiosis.

This story was beautifully written and very lyrical, but I think this version of the story was made for people that are interested in also studying how Tolkien created and wrote his works, much more so than people wanting to learn more about the lore surrounding LOTR. It was a sweet story, a bit weird (in a good way) at times, just didn't stick with me as much as other bodies of work by the same author.

No real new material in this volume. It is nice to have all the Beren/Luthien material together in one place. Christopher Tolkien does a good job of putting all the pieces together and showing how the story evolved over time.
