The beginning is slow but it didn’t take long to get into it and by the end I couldn’t stop reading.

This author is quickly becoming one of my favorite thriller authors. All of her books are messy, and constantly leave you guessing how it’s gonna play out. I would have had NO idea how this was gonna happen and when it did I was literally stunned. I love her books, and I am going to continue on with another one!!!

Am I Guilty? by Jackie Kabler is a psychological thriller and it's very difficult to say much about the story without giving away spoilers . In short Thea is told that she is to blame for what happened to her child , but she can't believe that she is capable of hurting her baby. As the trial comes upon her she slowly starts to realize that somebody close to her is keeping secrets which might end up destroying her life

This is a fast-paced plot, well-developed characters that builds to a high climax. I love the twist in the end that I didn’t see coming. Highly recommended.

I would like to thank HarperCollins , Killer Reads & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

Branded an unfit mother, grieving for her baby son and about to stand trial in a court of law, Thea's hitherto perfect life has turned into a nightmare.  But did she really do what everyone is saying she did?  As her memories gradually start to return, Thea realizes that things may not be as they seemed and someone must be lying about what happened on that dreadful day.  But if Thea isn't guilty, who is?

This is a gripping read.  I couldn't put it down.  It's full of twists and turns and I kept changing my mind about who I could trust.  I must have suspected just about every character at some point.  The story is told in the main by three key characters but in part 2 the accounts of several other characters are introduced too.  I felt that this narrative style was very effective in building the tension and I loved the way dark secrets kept emerging.

The subject matter is rather upsetting and it's not the easiest read. But if you like psychological thrillers which don't shy away from the more disturbing aspects of human behaviour, this will certainly keep you turning the pages.

A very difficult plot/topic to cover! It took me a while to become engaged with the book but I have to say I was totally consumed in finding out what happened!!

The author is so clever - I loved how much attention was paid to the plot. I read a lot and can usually predict the outcome! I hadn’t a clue here. The characters were carefully developed as the plot evolved. A master of creativity.

The author, Jackie Kabler, is top notch!

I know I am going against the crowd here but it was just so slow. I never skip ahead but had to with this one. It was hard to stay focused. If this hadn’t been so drawn out, the plot itself was great and I would have given it 4 stars.
