This was my first book by this author and LET ME TELL YOU. I still this about this book Every. Single. Day. I, I was speechless. I flew through this book and read this one and the second in 2 days... barely. I read this on a whim because the plot seemed interesting. It was cliché, very high school YA but spicy. Something about the close proximity trope just gets me every time. If you love grumpy sunshine and close proximity, this is your book. (so is the second one) I have minor critiques, but they aren't even worth getting into. This duology is so special to me 5/5 stars.

I liked this story but Lennon was so dumb for Macon it was making me mad. Like damn girl you let him get away with everything. Poor Eric he deserved better.
And fuck Claire.

I read the blurb and I already had a bad feeling about it, but I thought maybe I should give it a chance anyways because it was highly rated. Yea I should've listened to myself😭. Because nothing could've prepared me for what I just read. It was also just two of my least favourite tropes ever combined into one book with an annoying ass MMC.

I absolutely adored this book!! It’s so well written and really pulls you in from the start. Lots of angst and tension between the main characters, Lennon and Macon. It’s a perfect blend of enemies to lovers, first love and coming of age story. There’s also a beautiful redemption and friendship storyline included that was especially emotional for me. Definitely a 5 star read and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the sequel!
