My life changed for the better with every chapter read! I'm not usually big on self-help books, but I'm at a place in my life where I needed this book. I came across it sort of by accident and it has done wonders to change the way I look at and experience my life. This book gave me the courage to take action on some major decisions I had been putting off and I feel confident that I can move forward in a different way than I would have had I not read this book. I read an e-copy from my library but came on here to buy the book just so I'll always have it around as a reminder to choose to choose

A good, quick read with a bullet-by-bullet look at negative choices and the possibility of choosing the positive. Not so much a workbook as an inspiring guide for positivity.

Nothing revolutionary here, but good reminders that we have choices to make when we face adversity, challenges, difficulties. Be proactive, choose to see the good in people and situations, be positive, be an active decision maker in your life.

I could choose to wallow in misery or I could choose to change my situation.

I could passively go through life or I could actively participate.

I could continue forcing myself to listen to this audiobook that has no depth or anything new or insightful to say, or I could make better use of my time and find a more interesting audiobook.

There is not much novel ideas or advices in this book from his previous books. It feels this books falls into the category of self-help book of: if you do this, you can achieve that. And more and more, pursuit of happiness should not be the only meaningful way to live.

Buku kedua tentang kebahagiaan setelah The Happiness Project. Versi sedikit lebih serius dari "88 Love Life" menurut saya. Pas dibaca 1 atau 2 poin di malam hari sebelum tidur, dapat memantik refleksi atas kejadian atau apa-apa yang sudah dilalui sehari penuh.

Semakin tertarik dengan positive psychology. =D

Overall, good ideas but a wide, shallow summary of positive psychology and mindfulness. The book has a lot of very short chapters, each focused on a theme. There's about a page of the author's discussion, then a short story or example. Nothing is dealt with in much depth, but if you're looking for a little book of days sort of thing, with little reminders of mindfulness to focus on, then this might fit the bill.
