I knew this one would have the accidental baby trope so I was ready to deal with it, and it's something I enjoy from time to time but this one was... Kind of tedious? Compared to the other three. And I feel like a lot of Sabrina's real life troubles were skimmed over - we barely get to see her struggle with motherhood and law school, we don't really get any kind of closure on her relationship with her family. It's kind of all... Too neat? For something as messy as having a kid when you're still in college, with someone you're not really with.

It kinda dragged, for me. And Tucker was written as too perfect. I liked Sabrina a lot, but I really thought I was going to enjoy this book more than I did. Kind of a letdown!

If you're reading this, you're probably thinking "Brittany, I thought you already read all of the Off-Campus books?" and you'd be mostly correct... I put this one off for three years because at the time, I couldn't convince myself that reading an accidental pregnancy trope was good for me (it has historically been my least favorite trope in romance). I finally decided to pick this up, and although I did enjoy it (mostly Tucker), I feel vindicated that it is my least favorite of all 8 books in the Off-Campus and Briar U universe. Not a lot happened plot-wise, but this was sweet, hot, and fun to read, to I'd recommend to those who are interested in sports romances (although this is not really sports heavy at all compared to the other books in this series).

I will say, Tuck could buy a bar and renovate an apartment for me any day of the week.

Free on Kindle Unlimited (as of October 2023).
