Collections can be hard to rate. There were pieces I loved, pieces I enjoyed, pieces I didn’t love quite as much. Collections are great in that they offer a lot of different thoughts on a topic all at once and so give you a great panoramic view. Here, I loved the diversity in age, disability, race/ethnicity, thoughts, sex/gender, sexual orientation/identity, and so on.

I tend to prefer books that stick with one POV longer and offer a deeper dive. But this one was super informative and an enjoyable read.

I’m glad I read it. A lot of my disability reading has been very US centric, so it was good to read about a different country.

I certainly enjoyed getting a different perspective (in this case, not American) and enjoyed listening to the variety of experiences.
It's not so unique that I will remember many details in a year but I particularly loved to hear the stories of the older people and the stories that talked about historical parts that are shaping the modern disability movement

An evocative anthology, each story tied differently to the discussion of identity and disability. Really beautiful. I recommend really taking your time with this read.

This is a great collection of disabled stories, including mental disabilities and chronic illnesses, which are sometimes missed. I cried repeatedly, and I honestly felt very seen by so many of these stories, and learnt a lot about various disabilities, like cystic fibrosis and albinism. There are a few typos, so warning.
