Picked this up despite knowing nothing about it simply because I'd seen it around so often and figured it must be popular for a reason.
It's a bit hard for me to rate this because it's not as if I loved it or even liked it that much all the way through. It's not the type of book I'm usually into at all. However, overall it was a thought-provoking book with an emotional ending and I'm glad I read it.

This is the best book to read when you're going through a transitional phase in friendships. Reading it again at 24, I'm disappointed that there isn't more of a discussion on the socioeconomic factors that play into Mark's choices verses Bryon's choices, but it's still a damn good book.

ps. Don't think Ponyboy Curtis needed a cameo. He's definitely not as golden here.
