I have no words. The amount of love in this book. The devastation. The tears and heartache. I absolutely loved this book.

This book deals with a very disturbing subject matter but it made me think. A lot. I’m a mom of two older kids and you really don’t ever know what’s churning in their brains. The love this mother had for her severely sick child will stay with me always. Knowing the author is a pychologist dealing in childhood trauma made this book hit even harder. It’s a real issue that real people are going through. If you can’t have an open mind in trying to understand the dark parts of humanity do not read. But I am very glad I did.

One of the most heartbreaking stories I've read, especially as a mother to boys. Please check your triggers.

Yikes! This was definitely a tough read but it was also really insightful and profound. The end was hard to get through. I don't often get truly disturbed by books but this definitely did it
