The mystery was ok but on the whole the plots keep interfering with character development. Each new book in the series I think this will be the one that moves everything along and get disappointed. I don’t think the MC is ever going to learn enough about her magic or grow much more.

3...Again with the family interference, I thought we were over this...Matt's Aunt is the only one worth the writing time! Again I felt the drama more than the case, and I am either ready for the crew to go to America or for Matt's cousin need to go there...
