This was a book that I read.
Oliver is such overprotective asshole why is he best friends with Carter if he "not good enough for his sister " and Julia and Carter acting like scared teenagers.
Romance was just ok, it just wasn't for me.

This book started off good with a solid childhood friends, brothers best friend trope but I felt like the build up to the relationship could have been better. The beginning signs of Jules and Chargers chemistry was solid but I felt like it was a little rushed. The unexpected pregnancy trope was not expected and I didn’t love it. It was fine but honestly, I felt like the whole plot was rushed.

Quick read, fluid pace. Well balanced chemistry, appreciated the back story to give the characters some iota of depth. Ending was ok, felt like it was drawn out for my liking for the end result.

HEA
BROTHER'S BEST FRIEND

This is one of my favorite tropes and definitely a must read book. Fun, cute and romantic but I just wish there was some more spice 4/5 book for me.

This book was super cute, and it was about lifelong friends trying to navigate a new territory and explore the possibilities of a more intimate relationship. Julia and her brother Ollie experienced a devastating lose, their parents died and they both handled it differently. Julia, she became a shell of herself stepped away from being close to her brother and his best friend Carter. She started distancing herself until a breakup sends her packing to her brother’s house where she finds Carter staying there too. Carter is a sweet, loyal, and loving friend but he doesn’t do relationships because he saw how his parents crashed and burned in multiple marriages. These two have known each other all their lives so they know each other very well and Carter helps Jules rediscover her old self while they discover an attraction that’s been brewing between each other for years. I loved the push and pull that came with watching these two slowly fall in love while watching them battle against it for their own reasons.

I ended up DNF this book, I tried hard to keep going because I don’t like to DNF a book but it was just so boring i’d give it no stars if I could
