This book brought the trilogy to the ultimate culmination that was necessary in order for this series to get the conclusion it so rightly deserved. I have said many times that this author is one of the best at world-building and boy did she ever show it in this series.

This book picks up where the last one left off and things are intense. Is Cyn bad or good? As the story progresses it will determine the answer to that. At times through this trilogy, I have struggled to connect with either part of the story or the characters. However, this time that was not the case. I liked them all. I was engaged in what was happening, not only for the characters but the overall outcome. Surprisingly, Willow and Avidex intrigued me the most.

The steam in this book was still hotter than hot but in this book I was more focused on getting the answers to what was happening or what would happen. That is what great story writing is all about and is why I adore this author so much. She lets my imagination soar, sweet holy titfire does she ever, and allows me to get lost in a world that is so foreign and yet it feels like home.

This whole series is a roller-coaster ride of intense action, steamy sexiness, and witty humor that made me giggle. That snark is one of the things I love about Cari Silverwood's books. I also love how much effort she puts into her world-building. Her stories always surprise me in some way and leave in even more in awe of her talent.

This is the final leg of the journey for Cyn, Vargr, Rutger, and their small army. The story begins right where the last one ended and I was immediately brought back to the heartache of loss the group had suffered. It doesn't linger on that loss long, however, and you are quickly thrust back into the action. I love the way the characters continue to grow and come into themselves. One of my favorite characters in this one is Willow. She is amazing and her intelligence and wit were some of my favorite moments. There wasn't as much sexy time in this one, but I think that worked perfectly. It made the focus more on the story line and the story line is strong. It could stand on it's own as a dystopian sci-fi without all the heat. I'm not suggesting that it would be better (it wouldn't be) just that it could.

This book wrapped up all the lingering questions and left me with a feeling of contentment with the entire thing. Everything happened in a way that made sense and didn't leave me wishing for a different kind of outcome. This is one of those series that I'm going to go back and read over and over again.

Cute but psycho indeed!

Humans kissed things better. A demon girl needed to kill things to make everything better.

Cyn is the third and final instalment of this tale of Beasters, Ghoul Lords and nanites. And what a story it is, filled with exciting exploits, bemusing bots and deadly demons. It kicks off with further shocking discoveries, including the fate of both Willow and her lover Mads. Next, it hurtles along with the pace and determination of a runaway express train, ploughing through what most would consider 'nice' and 'polite' and leaving devastation in it's wake. Let's face it though, Cyn, Rutger and Vargr are never going to be nice and polite, nor we wouldn't want them to be.

Whilst no-one in their right mind would EVER call the author's work comedy, she does imbue her books with humour and tongue-in-cheek pop culture references. And they are such clever little touches, often thought provoking and frequently providing both extra layers and depth. There is so much foreshadowing too, when I re-read her books I find myself constantly wondering how I'd missed such obvious clues, easter eggs and signposts. Yet there is NEVER anything typical, predictable or cliched about her work. In fact Cari Silverwood has a fairly unique literary 'voice', one that makes so many other authors seem pale by comparison.

It must be close to seven PM now, in old pre-invasion time. Or would it be six? There'd been daylight saving back then, and time zones, and other shit that no longer mattered.
It was Beaster Time, when the Ghoul Lords feared to tread.

On to Cyn and her two Beaster warriors .....hmmmmm, so dark, dirty and sexy as all hell. This trio are just so perfect, each adding their own little spin to the dynamic. Fitting together perfectly and loving each other uniquely. There are more incredibly hot, naughty and definitely perverted sexy times too. I'll never look at a beer bottle the same way again.

If this was Fetlife or Facebook, she'd have to write in the relationship box: Complicated.

The book is also full of great and inspiring speeches, involving ashtrays, hood ornaments and bots keeping your soul safe (I didn't cry at that one, you did). It was packed with great thoughts on osmosis, build-a-bear, dwarves and their beards and feeling grumpy. Then there were all the little finishing touches like fair-haired bobble heads in blue suits, Dali paintings and tentacles.

Cyn faces some incredibly tough choices in this book, choices that might change her beyond all recognition, changes that might damn her soul forever. Will she rise to the challenge, can Rutger and Vargr keep her safe and when she encounters someone she once cared for will she make the right decisions?

"I might get nasty. I wish I knew for sure if I could keep being human, I want to still be me."
Was she whining to the little bot? Yes, she was.
"I can help you, Cyn. Please. I will tell you if you are nasty."

There is so much packed into this book it felt as though I'd read a whole series by the end of it. You can't afford to let your focus drift for even a second, every word, action and observation has meaning.

You do need to have read Vargr and Rutger, in that order, first. This is not a stand alone read and will not make sense if you try and read it as such.

There were probably worse side-effects one could have. Death, for example.

Wow talk about a series and saving the best for last in the final book. I don't know which one I loved most each book had it's own persona, but I'm leaning towards Cyn because she is such a bada** and when that demon side comes out to play you best look out, but she's afraid she'll lose herself when she goes full demon with the final battle approaching, but her bonded mates Vargr and Rutger aren't about to let that happen. I have no idea how Cari schemes her Sci fi stories, but I can say this much their always fun to read and your definitely turning pages.

I love love love the character of Cyn and couldn't wait for this series to come out after I read Book 1. Cari is masterful at blending excellent unique worlds and characters with steamy, dark fun. These books are such great stories, and she doesn't feel the need to shoe horn in superfluous erotica just to placate readers who only want steam and no substance. I think that's why I love her books. Each one is so well balanced and feels like such a work of art. That said, finally seeing the conclusion of Cyn's story, alongside her beast horde lovers, Vargr and Rutger, was amazing, and I can't wait to see if she'll develop more stories in this world, or tease us with some new, imaginative piece of work.

I was so looking forward to this final instalment in this addictive series and it certainly didn't disappoint.
This starts where we left off with that previous finale and the shocking revelations regarding Cyn and the beasters true origins and almost instantly upon picking this up I was right back in the zone feeling like I had never been away.
I loved how here we have got to an almost stage of comfortable familiarity and I just adored the overall dynamic that Cyn, Rutger and Vargr have managed to arrive at.
I am also loving Vargr's new nickname it suits.
This one definitely amps up the pressure in regards to confronting the Ghoul Lords and taking back control.
I loved where this went and also the eventual resolution arrived at.
I liked that it wasn't easy and we were made to work for our HEA.
I also felt that all three in this relationship are now on an equal playing field and whereas previously I had too and throwed in regards to my favourite beaster male here I was equally invested in both.
Most importantly this trio now works and functions as one.
This trilogy has managed to keep my attention wholeheartedly and I have been riveted throughout.
This was a fantastic finale to the whole endeavour and I enjoyed it all immensely.
A very unique read and a series that I highly recommend.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Cyn (Beast Horde #3).

This book was a hoot. I found myself laughing through most of the it.

Cyn is kind of a hot mess. But her character is engaging and you will easily come to love her. I had moments of concern of her as Maddie's caregiver, just because Maddie was a handful! Who knew a little old lady could get into so much trouble.
I did a have a few moment of sympathy for Rhys. He is a nice reminder that everyone is human even if they carry a badge.
Cyn and Rhys are a cute and fun couple. Together they will leave you smiling.

This is a very funny and entertaining Rom-Com. If you enjoy Rom-Com you should absolutely read this.
