I read the first half of this book in physical form and though it did kind of feel like reading a textbook, it really makes you think about how much you really know about the plant world around you. As I do with most books that I'm having trouble getting through, I switched to listening to the audiobook version. This made easier it to follow and I would definitely recommend listening to the audiobook version of this book if you are going to read it. Overall I think it's a really interesting book to read and it makes you think about plants in a way, at least me personally, never had before. The beginning of this book really heavily focuses on plants basically being able to read your mind and how they have consciousnesses, but if you're not into that I would say keep reading because as the book goes on it talks more about plants in the physical world instead of the spiritual. This book brings up a lot of thought provoking questions, so if you're looking for a book to really make you think, this is a good book for you.

This is just pseudoscience and misinformation, they should have written fiction instead.

No pasa nada, I want to believe.

This is more than most people will want to know about plants. I appreciated the section on George Washington Carver and his faith. Otherwise, aside from a few insights such as how plants respond to different forms of music, and how plants more or less claim a person like a cat does, (the cat comparison is mine), it's a tough slog. Skimmed rather than read the book.

This book started off extremely exciting and actually blew my mind and then I don't know if I had already spent up my attention or if it just genuinely became boring but...either way, I couldn't read it anymore!

If you have kindle unlimited, give it a read!

The "studies" and experimentation described in this book are about as scientifically studious as a magic 8 ball. I kept waiting for the author to explain "obviously we don't believe THIS but it does pose an interesting question" but they don't. They're just like we think this checks out. I'm recommending this for the "If Books Could Kill" podcast immediately.

Yea nah. As soon as it presented the founder of Scientology as a valid scientific source I checked out. Lost all credibility.

Absolute garbage. I wish I could get my money back. I saw all the positive reviews and I thought this would be fine. Total b.s.
