A decent book. At times it dragged a bit and was repetitive in places. It did keep my interest for the most part.

Not my favourite Dean Koontz book I must admit. Felt like a chore to read in all honesty.

Finished it, not a page turner. I think I've lost interest in
Dean Koontz.

This book started slow. Then sped up and then slowed down again. I found it hard to stay engaged. Koontz’s writing style is unnecessarily wordy and all the extra description gets boring. I never really heard Bebe’s voice, only Koontz. Also, none for the characters are flawed. Bebe is described as a “goddess” on more than one occasion. Someone who is exceptionally smart, exceptionally logical, exceptionally resilient and exceptionally level-headed, all of which made her exceptionally dull. Paxton (who -spoiler alert: Bebe imagined into existence) has about as much personality as a cardboard cutout of a boy scout, go figure Bebe created him.

I'm normally a big fan of Koontz but I struggled to get into this book.  Koontz will often move into the paranormal but something was just not quite right about the story.  Then the twist occurs in chapter 90 (yes lots of chapters but very short) and you get this ah-ha moment.  The problem for me is now things get even stranger.

There were definitely times when I enjoyed the read, mostly when we were following Pogo and Pax.  It's not a terrible book just very strange.

I really liked this book. Koontz developed the characters well and the twists in the book were good. The ending could have been a bit more desirable but overall I liked it.
