SO. MUCH. CUTE.

Levi totally stole the show for me with his love and passion for animals, and the fact that he's a huge family guy (dude built a huge McMansion so that all his family can gather together on holidays, what even), and the fact that he's a total geek and unapologetic about his interests (BRITNEY SPEARS OH MY GOD) and he's just wonderful. I mean I love Brooke too but I'm sorry, I was completely enthralled with Levi throughout the book.

E-ARC is received thanks to the wonderful author.

Well, well, well. You think you know a good Katee Robert hero, (you know- tough, alpha males that take no prisoners and talk dirty with the best of them?) and then she comes along and brings us LEVI. Oh, Levi, with your Mean Girls-watching, Gilmose Girls-loving, animal fanatic ways. He's a big bear of a man with a heart ten times bigger, and I loved him to pieces! He's not like any other hero I've ever read, and it was so refreshing!

Then we have Brooklyn, who is whip-smart and the perfect match for Levi. I loved the setup of this novella, with Brooklyn hired to investigate Levi and the awkward meet cute that ensues. I felt the way Brooklyn was torn in falling for this wonderful man and needing the money she'd get for finding him guilty, and the tension was fantastic! They are so cute together, and their witty banter alone is worth the price of admission. So freaking fun!

I loved the way the conflict is resolved as well. I won't spoil it for you, but I love a smart heroine, and Brooklyn shows her skills to get out of what was a pretty sticky situation.

Loved it!

This was the second book in this duology, and I liked it just as much as book 1. Levi was a gentle giant, and Brooklyn didn't know what to do with how smitten she was. So fun!

Brooklyn Jameson is the roommate and best friend of the heroine in book 1, Cora. She's also a PI, and she's taken a case she doesn't like, but she needs the money. A smarmy, rich jerk has hired her to prove that his neighbor stole his million dollar dog. She doesn't like her client, but she doesn't have to like him to take his money. So. she goes about proving the case. But she is NOT expecting Levi, and she's definitely not ready for her reaction to him.

Levi Turnbull is the best friend of the hero from book 1, Jack. He's also a brilliant, billionaire, video game developer, with a sensitive streak, and a big love for animals. When he saw the condition of the dog that had wandered on to his lawn, he didn't hesitate to act. Yes, TECHNICALLY, taking a dog that valuable is grand theft, but the dog had been mistreated and malnourished, and he's always felt rules were somewhat flexible. Plus his neighbor is a giant a-hole. So, he's been keeping the poor dog hidden while he nurses it back to health. But, he's not counting on the sexy PI sneaking on to his property, and trying to prove him a thief.

Levi and Brooklyn had chemistry like whoa, and I loved their witty, sexy banter. Their conversations were always funny, and entertaining, and I loved watching them interact. Neither seemed to know quite what to do with this connection they were feeling, and it put them both at a loss. Brooklyn knew she had a job to do, but she was hesitant, for the first time ever, to actually do it. Levi knew what Brooklyn was looking for, but it didn't stop him from pursuing her. I liked how out of sorts they both were about the whole thing. It was quite endearing.

These 2 short, sexy books were fun and entertaining, and I really enjoyed my time reading them both. All the characters were relatable, in different ways, and I enjoyed watching their relationships bloom. These were short novellas, and quite fast paced, and I had a great time with them. I always prefer a HEA to a HFN, which is what we get here, but that's just a personal preference. They were still extremely enjoyable and I'm so glad I took the time to read them. As always, I look forward to what's next from this author.

In matters of money, beggars can't be choosers, as Brooklyn James is finding out. Working as a PI brings more than its share of crazy cases, but, heck, if it pays the bills, Brooklyn's game. When a client with deep pockets hires Brooklyn to find out what happened to his pet dog, she's not in a position to say no.

Tech wizard Levi Turnbull didn't steal his neighbor's dog so much as liberate it. I mean, he couldn't just sit around and let the poor pooch be neglected, right? And, if nicking the dog brings him closer to the redhead hanging out in a tree on his property, well, two birds, one stone, and all of that.

ANIMAL ATTRACTION is chock full of the sass, the fun, the sexiness that are typical Katee Robert. The chemistry between Levi and Brooklyn is immediate, overt, and such fun that I wish their story was longer, but this 4.5-star read satisfies nonetheless, and was a pure pleasure to read. As a note, while this story is part of of duet, it does stand alone. Grab this book, grab the first, nab them both, but, whatever you do, just read these and enjoy.
