I don't have the words to express how amazing this book is, beautifully written, the story slowly unfolds and the pieces fall into place. When you see the big picture you can't help but love Ove (and most of the characters) despite their flaws.

The perfect book to wnd the year with, I really can't describe just how brilliant it is. I definitwly cried, but mostly I just laughed throughout the whole thing.

"He was a man of black and white.
And she was colour. All the colour he had."

I admit it. I read the book because of the movie hype (but couldn't get to the cinema). I was intrigued to see how the author would make a grumpy man loveable and he answered me by making me cry. This is a gentle character study where the reader is gifted an insight into how life events shape people. And that sometimes, just sometimes, they meet a kind soul who can see beneath the surface and refuses to accept face value. A warning to one and all, not to jump to conclusions.
Recommended.
