DNFed at 40%. Don't know what went wrong. Maybe it's because it's too early in the Peanuts comics, but it was way too childish for me. And I cannot avoid comparing comics like these to Calvin and Hobbes, and Oh My God, the difference...

PESSIMISTA OTIMISTA
O Charlie Brown é a criança mas pessimista e engraçada ao mesmo tempo. Adoro o tom das piadas e das piadas que não precisam nem de palavras para serem engraçadas. O tipo de livro que pode ser uma boa leitura para qualquer idade .

I checked this out as something simple and charming to peruse during lunch. It’s fun to see the world of Peanuts slowly develop into the standard for comic strips it would become. There’s a lot of repetition in the set ups and a lot of the jokes ape jokes that came before them; making it a slog for reading for longer than half an hour or so at a time. But between the strips, the fabulous essay written about Schultz, and the lengthy interview with him toward the end of his career, the compendium was a nice time sink.
