Infelizmente, tinha outras expectativas relativamente a este livro. Apesar de tudo, gostei muito da primeira parte, uma vez que achei lindíssima a relação com Ruth e tudo o que ela ensina ao James.

I listened to this as an audiobook and wished the author read it himself but it was ok as is. He has a very interesting life story and I like how he reflected on what he learned throughout. I find it a little strange that through the entire book he talks about Ruth’s magic but he never went back to find her until she would have been 90. The writing was ok, completed by a scientist and not a literary genius but that’s what you get with memoirs. There were many parts that I was like, “I can’t even imagine this in my own life”. A good read. I’m thankful for his contribution to Cyberknife technology because it’s been a game changer for people with brain tumors and has definitely helped a few of my friends.

I'm sorry but I didn't enjoyed this book as much as I thought I will do. I obligated myself to finished it, not sure if it was by the pase of the narrator or just because I didn't believed in the power of meditation. For millions of people only desiring something is not going to make it happening.

this entire book all i could think is why the fuck did he not hire a ghost writer because he has turned an interesting story into a pretentious narcissistic pile of shit

This book was actually mind blowing. I can't believe how I've lived this long without these lessons. This has really taught me so much and I will try to integrate Ruth's lessons into my life. I recommend this book to everyone in the world to be honest. Especially the people who are suffering and are in pain.

(Audiobook) Compassion, Dignity, Equanimity, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Humility, Integrity, Justice, Kindness, and Love to influence a change in school climate and culture. The alphabet of life. The journey shared here was a great lesson in keeping our hearts open and sending out our intentions into the world. Great listen.

4.5 - This book is a remarkable journey told by a neurosurgeon who discovers the power of quieting the mind, finding inner peace through breath, opening the heart, and harnessing the potential of visualization. Through his own ups and downs, he emphasizes the importance of uniting the mind and heart in achieving balance and fulfillment. This book isn't a dry textbook filled with data; it's a captivating story that resonates with anyone seeking harmony in life. I found myself moved by his story and will undoubtedly carry a lot of his insights with me for years to come.
