Strong and delightful cozy murder mystery. Ms. Delany quickly creates an evil and hateful villain that everyone wanted to kill...including me! The murder happens fairly soon in the book and we spend the majority of the time with Merry figuring out the who and why. The various characters were a delight to get to know and the plot/story had a nice, even pace. You find yourself going back and forth on who the killer is...so many good plot points.
Although I figured out who the killer was (they said something that gave it away...whether Ms. Delany meant to give us the hint, I'm not sure) it was still a fun, easy read. I look forward to reading more about Merry and the year-round Christmas mysteries.

I enjoyed this mystery. I was confused throughout the book about when exactly the story took place in relation to the last book as there was no mention of the previous murder which I believe is supposed to be taking place just days before the current book's murder. Again, I wish that Merry was more attentive to her dog at times. I was pleased to see the progress with the love triangle. I think Merry made the right choice!

This was a nice light cozy mystery perfect for the Christmas season. The many characters kept me guessing in this one who was the murderer. Merry's parent's friends who own an Inn in Rudolph are struggling with health issues and Merry is initially relieved to see that their son can step in to help. He may not be who they think though and chaos ensues with Merry's father's Santa gig at risk!

I just love the Christmas season and when I found out that Vicki Delany was releasing her new holiday-themed book, WE WISH YOU A MURDEROUS CHRISTMAS, I was elated! The catchy title with the clever play on Christmas carols definitely caught my eye along with the festive cover. The author starts off with a wonderful setting in the town of Rudolph which will definitely get you into the Christmas spirit. I loved the sights, the sounds, the smells of holiday cheer that Vicki Delany weaves into her story, along with a murderous plot that kept me turning pages and guessing until the reveal. There were plenty of suspects with believable reasons why they would have wanted Gordon Olsen dead, while the subplots added dimension to a terrific story without detracting from it. The author has also created memorable characters, especially with Merry’s father, Noel, who epitomizes Christmas and was born on Christmas day. By the end of this book, you’ll be left with a magical feeling that just maybe Santa does exist!
