Never His Girl by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne is a dark high school bully romance. This is the second book in the Kings of Cypress Prep series.

The book does come with a warning/caution "This saga contains strong bully themes. So, if you’re not into romances where hate turns into love (… eventually), and if you don’t like your heroes of the unapologetically alpha variety, this might not be the series for you. There is no rape or dubious consent whatsoever. However, due to adult themes and sexual situations, this one’s only for the 18+ crowd."

This is the second book of Rachel and Nikki's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. They do an amazing job pulling me into the book. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. The chemistry between Blue and West is off the charts.

The book does end on an amazing cliffhanger. I can't for the next book in the series Forever Golden to be released on June 1, 2021 so I can get more of Blue and West's story.

I would highly recommend this book if you love dark romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.

Never His Girl by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne is a dark high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lessa Lamb, Neill Thorne, and Sarah Puckett. This is the second book in the Kings of Cypress Prep series.

Lessa, Neill, and Sarah did an amazing job on the narration. They really brought the story to life. I can't wait to listen to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love dark romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.

So it’s getting better..

I was a little torn about this trilogy after book one but I’m warming up to it more. West has definitely grown on me, he didn’t seem to be an abhorrent human in book one but after book two he’s definitely not. I love how strong Blue was to hold out, that’s definitely a highlight in the story for me. She really made him work to get back in her good graces which I appreciate.

I’m stopping myself from giving this 5 stars because it’s too reminiscent of the Windsor Academy trilogy. Literally almost the same exact story which I find kind of annoying. If I had read this one first it may have been my 5 star and WA would be my 4 star. I am enjoying this series but it’s missing that thing that sets it apart from other bully romances.

I did write a review when I finished this but it’s not on GR?

Anyway from what I remember I was enjoying the angst train!

And I had some questions about who Robyn was still but anyway it was good ✌

Holy Moses, just when I thought it couldn't get better it did. This is the second book in the series, and has even more twists and turns than the last one. Rest assured some questions are answered but not much. There will be another book so I know the authors won't leave us hanging. I think I know who Pandora is, but I will keep a zip on it. The characters and the plot continue to develop in this book and it's good to see.
The world the authors created, where there are the haves and the have nots is one as old as time, but what makes this story different, is the twists that they put on it. They make this story their own, and make it so you want to read every single page until you are done. It's told in dual pov, and it packs a punch.

‘Never His Girl’ is the second instalment in the ‘Kings of Cypress Pointe’ bully romance series by authors Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne.

I’m enjoying the continuation of this series. This book picked up where book one left off. It’s still a slow burn, but the twists and turns kept me interested throughout.

Compared to book one ‘The Golden Boys’ where the focus was on the bullying, in book two it has shifted. Instead of the bullying now we got to see West try to redeem himself.

May I even go as far to say that we got ourselves a little lost puppy on our hands?

While West was adamant on making  amends with Blue; at first she wanted nothing to do with him. However, I’m please to say that once they FINALLY had that long awaited conversation, things took a turn and our ‘King Midas’ and ‘New Girl’ were able to make amends—coming together just like how they meant to be.

“I'm always aware of him, like he's always aware of me-two opposite sides of a magnet, drawn to each other because we're so vastly different.”

Through all their trials I was hoping that they’d at least be able to be together for a while before any more obstacles got in their way. However, it seems I was delusional in that thought… because that ending? Oh how I hate a manipulative man!

This isn’t just a bully romance, there’s more to it. The plot is thickening; you can see how the authors have implemented more backstory—possibly one that will continue into the rest of the books in the series. The lies go deeper and I can’t wait for it to all blow up!
