I really liked this one! It was your typical Highland romance with a strong-willed main character and a broody lead love interest, but I really enjoyed Sands' take on it. Evelinde and Cullen were both very lovable characters, and I liked how their relationship developed. The twist and big reveal were well done, but I do wish that we got an epilogue for these characters.

I found the characters endearing, if frustrating at times, but I really like books set in the highlands of the past, so...I finished within two days. My only outstanding dislike, was that I was not overly fond of the person reading the version I listened to (don't remember their name though...).

Idk. I’ve fallen back into a Lyndsay Sands era and I’ve been eating it up. I’m pretty sure i last read this series in 2017 and this one is still one of my favorites. So classic, Evelinde is hilarious. Cullen is hilarious. Even when they don’t mean to be. They’re cute together though and I did like how the little mystery turned out.

Not that bad. The heroine wasn't outrageously annoying only the high regular amount. The strong silent hero was just as aggravating and annoying as usual. Decent.

Another Winner

As someone who has never been drawn to historical romance in the slightest, it says a lot about the author who can draw me in to a historical romance so completely. I loved every bit of this book and am ready for more!

Oh Lynsay, how far you have come. This heroine was truly as dumb as they come.

Soft romance, somewhat interesting, very light reading, not enough world building. I did not care for it enough to continue with this author.
