i really enjoyed the plot but it was waaay too long than its supposed to be. i was bored and i think im in a reading slump thanks to this.
plus i didnt like the sisters being involved. cant give a reason but it made me feel a little pushed too.
overall i think the second book is the best and im gonna remember this series with that.

This is wicked! The action, the thrill, and the brilliance of how the war was portrayed is beyond what I have expected. It surely got me to tears! Thinking I wouldn't shed one. I love the family cleaved on each pages. I understand now the hype! Well deserved 5⭐

I’m absolutely in love with the Graphic Audio theatrical recording of this book. Honestly, I don’t ever want to listen to these sorts of books any other way, and it’s a tragedy they’re broken up into so many parts and that my library app has a 3 book limit per month because it’s really going to slow down my progress finishing this series.

SO MUCH IS HAPPENING. We get Feyre, HIGH LADY of the Night Court, being absolutely savage in what needs to be done to take Tamlin and his court down from within. It even took me a little while to realize the way she so easily sows discontent that would unravel after she’s gone.

After she’s back home, with Rhysand and the others, where she should be.

I’m thrilled that we get to keep Lucien this time around, and while I definitely prefer anyone from Rhys’s court to Lucien, his character development is interesting to watch unfold in this new setting, especially given the fact that we truly aren’t certain of his allegiances at any point of this story.

Not that we can be certain of anyone. Even Tamlin comes back later to play the victim and claim a story of trying to help from the start, of never intending to betray his people.

The complexities of the politics around what’s happening - the threat of an invasion and the uncertainty of who you can and can’t trust - only grow with every new development. I’m living for the added politics of this novel, which caters to my interests perfectly.
