The story in itself is not anything special, but the art is amazing. Not anything like beautiful, but spectacular nonetheless.

Visually stunning black and white but this is not my kind of thing. Maybe I wold have liked this more back in the Pulp Fiction era but I do not want to spend any more time in this world of low-life sociopaths.

Hard Yes

I already have so much love for this story from being a fan of the movie. Finally getting to start reading about these characters is downright awesome. I loved every bit and I'm itching for more.

I savored this one a bit! I am not a graphic novel person but thought I would try a few out! Enjoyed how similar to the movie it was, and it did leave me wanting more, so I am glad there are others...

horrible, sick, perverted - the art is amazing - like a shitty, edgy, fucked up john wick

So ridiculously neo-noir and over the top that it loops back around to actually kind of awesome. The art has a magnetic style about it, with fantastic use of negative space. It doesn't have too much depth, but it works as a self-contained story.

Ahhh so that explains it: Frank Miller is the Michael Bay of the comic world. Both posses an amazing eye, second to none in constructing visually dynamic (as well as) beautiful imagery, with the dramatic tastes of an edgy, and very horny, 14 year old boy.

I give it 3.5 stars. What caught my attention was the style in which the black & white was used. I haven’t read anything with this kind of “noir” art. Story-wise, it was decent nothing too exciting. The part I liked the most was with the character Kevin. I liked how straightforward it was and gruesome! I may check out some of the other stories by Mr. Miller later in the future.
