I have to say I liked the name of the character in this book the best, Ginger Spice. We got a tiny bit of a glimpse of this story in the first book. While this story I didn't love as much as the first one, this is the story that convinced me to reach out and purchase the anthology with all three stories from the author. You see, there are many different baked goods discussed in this story, I mean it is about a baking contest. And I wanted to have the recipes! When I reached out to the author about it, she said that I needed the actual written copy, because obviously they won't put recipes in an audiobook. Yeah, yeah, I could have just purchased the ebook, but no, I want a physical copy if I'm going to buy a book for recipes. The other thing I loved about Ginger, besides the yummy sounding baked goods, was her adorable way of cursing. I tend to do that a lot, not that I never use the actual bad words, but for the longest time I didn't, and I still don't feel right using that kind of language in front of people, I'm guessing it's my education career.

So good!

This series is full of Christmas spirit and all the steamy romance! I love that each book is unique to the couple but adds in a little of the books that came before it so that we can catch up with the other friends.

3.5 stars for sure, I liked this more than the 1st book SUPER ADORABLE, I love the tension, very fast-paced, and short books. I'm still finding it ironic I'm reading this during the summer, perfect Christmas read.

They’re rivals on a festive baking show, but maybe there’s a better prize to win than the prizemoney...

Ginger Winter really lives up to her name – she’s a master in the kitchen, especially when it comes to gingerbread. Because of her amazing skills, she’s one of several contestants involved in The Great Gingerbread Bake Off and she’s determined to win so she can finally open her own bakery. There’s just one hurdle to get past – Keller James, a celebrity baker who she just happens to fancy. Despite being rivals, Keller can’t help but spend time with Ginger, even just to run everyday errands. As the bake off progresses, so does their relationship. But Ginger knows Keller will be leaving Reindeer Falls once filming is over, and when it looks like he’s stolen her plans for himself, their relationship could be over before they even get the chance to start it...

The teaser for Ginger’s story during the previous book had me really excited for this rivals-to-lovers story! Again, it was a super sweet and cute festive romance, and felt like it was straight out of a Hallmark film. Ginger and Keller were both really interesting characters and it was fun to watch them develop their relationship.

As I said with the previous book, I really wish this story was longer and included Keller’s perspective as well. The world of Reindeer Falls is such a fun one to be in, and I really enjoyed Ginger giving Keller, and us, a tour around the town. Also, is there an actual The Great Gingerbread Bake Off? Because I really want to watch it!

Romance fans, let’s get those reading goals smashed with a short but festive read to round-out the year!

Cute but I wanted more fleshed out story... this one was more 1-dimensional than the first one, so I enjoyed the 1st one more.

This one was okay! i liked the baking aspect of it but it was severely insta lovey and I hate that in books. Honestly i’m losing motivation to read the rest of this series.. i may pick it up next year or something but I think i’m just falling it out of it.. some of the FMC inner dialogue is kinda cringy
