while I like this, I felt deja vu as I was reading and around the word shine. It reminds me of 2002 sink reflections by the FlyLady. start small and celebrate what you are able to do. To the t now one is a Standford teacher of behavior science the other is a 1990's/2000 housewife who tried a bunch of stuff till one worked for her. (Baby steps vs starter habits) Both work and both got to them in very different ways and shared their strategies in very different ways. they are both valid and help people. I am curious how he would view her methods.

I will use these ideas but the similarities are sort of killing me.

This was more of a workbook than I anticipated but I think that made it more helpful. The illustrations that help describe the concepts were great. I immediately wanted to share this information with my family and help create sustainable habits. I’ll definitely read this again!

This was a quick audiobook read for some motivation on keeping organized and on top of tasks. If you are looking for something to listen to while trying to clean the house or finish a project, this is it. I will say though, it is a lot of the same repetitive tips, so I found myself thinking things like "Marie Kondo taught me that" or "I already implemented that" so it didn't make me think outside the box on how I could keep myself on task, etc.

This is probably one of the worst books I have ever read. It's a slog. BJ could benefit from learning to be more concise. I respect his life mission, but other than that, I don't have anything positive to say. I do believe it can help a certain subset of people. He has glowing reviews, but he won't be getting one from me.

Try Power of Habit instead.

I love the Tiny Habits concept. I think the first couple of chapters and the "recipes" at the end are worth reading. I have, and will continue to, incorporate this concept in my life.

So many words that could be condensed and simplified so easily!! Great concept, insightful, but lightly. IMO I would recommend atomic habits over this if you want a book on habits
