Loved this one too. The characters, even a bunch if the minor ones, were so dang vivid!

One of my favorite, I really like Freyja’s character. After an epic meeting, they decided to old a false engagement to save Joshua from a disastrous wedding. But when Wulfric learns about it, he decide to interfere and the stratagem is gonna reverse itself.

The reader for this title was great. I had a love/hate relationship with Freya, from really appreciating how strong she was, to being annoyed at her "bitchiness."

This was a little wild. I'm undecided about reading more Mary Balogh. I haven't love loved them, but they are fun

Thoughts:
*Fake dating in historicals definitely need to be more popular. They're so great and have a lot of untapped potential
*His aunt made for a good villain
*Idk I feel like they went from dislike to love perhaps a little too quickly, but I did feel like there were actual reasons given for the change, which I liked
*Maybe it's because I picked one in the middle of the series, but her family didn't really grab my attention so I don't think I'll continue on
*MB tends to be dialogue heavy, and some of the action only comes through in the speech, which is odd
His family was actually more compelling. Prue in particular was prescious

At first I didn't like Lady Freyja, but as the story progressed I came to like her. She is a smart, bold women who doesn't step down from noone, or anything. Her and Joshua Moore make quite the couple. The first and second time she meets him she punches him in his nose. The third time they meet they decide to lie to everyone and tell them that they are getting married so that he won't have to be forced to marry his cousin. They didn't expect to fall in love with each other. I have to say that for me even though she had a few lines and small parts in the book Lady Prudence stole the show. I cried when ever I read her parts in the book.

Favorite moments Reading that Prudence gets married. Freyja punches the marchioness.

Least Favorite moments Freyja could be too much at times.

Fav Quotes "one cannot even be a gentleman with you, Free, without arousing your ire. Go ahead, Break your neck on the way down and I'll stand behind you thankful you are not taking me down with you. Better yet, you can break my fall when I trip all over my boots." Joshua Moore
