Mila Nicks was on my “New to You Author” self-challenge for the month of May and I love the way she writes and the humor she brings to her books. I really enjoyed her Black Witch Magic (I still need to read the second book in that paranormal romance series) and was excited she wanted ARC readers for this book. I’m really happy I applied to read it because I thoroughly enjoyed it. This was really fun and really sweet. This book will make you want to travel and make you hungry, thinking of eating ALL of the things when you travel. It’s the perfect read to start off your summer.

I loved sweet and sassy Jubilee and seeing her confidence grow more and more throughout the book. If I ever need a tour guide on vacation, I’d want someone like Jubilee to show me around because she’s fun and knows where all the good food is, in addition to her wealth of knowledge.

If you like ooey gooey cinnamon rolls, like I do, Blake is for you! You’re going to love him and think his ex was cray cray for jilting him at the alter. Blake deserves a spot on Book Boyfriend Island, for sure. They’re very sweet together, but there’s definite chemistry and steam, which I love.

The only thing I have to complain about was a bit on the pacing near the end. The main conflict happens around 70%, so there’s plenty of time for them to sort stuff out, but once they do, there’s a secondary conflict that felt a bit unrealistic and then the main conflict was tied up really quickly. Thankfully we get a bit more in the epilogue.

Overall, I loved that the heart of the book is acceptance and that’s something I think we all can relate to.

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, For Abroad Only.

I was provided an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. 4 1/2 Stars.

This book lost me in Rome. I get the suspension of disbelief but as someone who lived in Rome, that was just not possible in any way.
Also, I kept waiting for the spark between our main characters and I couldn't find it.
This is not a bad book I just hoped for a lot more and didn't get it.
I wished the book itself was as amazing and beautiful as the cover was.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review

This was a really cute romance. There relationship was well developed and I loved the back drop of a cruise and them sightseeing different places. Both Jubilee and Blake were well fleshed out and you understood all the choices they made. I liked this alot. The ending actually reminds me of Xeni alittle now that I think about it.

Overall a really nice and heartwarming romance.

This book was cute and I enjoyed it! I really liked the main couple and the overall story line. It was cute, fun, lighthearted, had great mutual pining/romantical development, and definitely inspired some wanderlust with the cruise setting and descriptions of travel in the port cities.

Now, to jump into my criticisms... The pacing was a bit slow at times, which pulled me out of the story and allowed me to get distracted from reading. While I appreciated the world building and additional details about the characters' lives and the people in it, the balance felt a little off sometimes and the pacing of the book suffered as a result. I also felt like the "villains" (aka exes) felt a little one-dimensional and cartoonish. It felt like they were written in to *insert villain here to create drama* without considering them as fully formed people. I know antagonists are not meant to be likeable, but I always at least hope they're believable, and in this case I never quite got there with the exes.

Closing thoughts: Overall I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend if you're looking for a lighthearted romance where none of the stakes are high and the romance is good.

4 stars this was so stinking cute and sweet. I normally don't do the Rom-comy books, but gosh Blake and Jubilee were adorbs This isn't super spicy romance, think sweet with just a touch of heat. if your looking for something light to cleanse your palette, this is it.

A cute and fun summer read until the miscommunication trope and third act breakup, then it wasn't so fun anymore.
