I probably have to read this several times to get the most out of it. I already read several of the paragraphs multiple times in the first pass. But, it is one of the more accessible books on Buddhism that I've read. A lot of good thoughts to ponder and adopt. While I was reading this, I encountered many un-Buddhist events and people. The book helped me react a little better than I usually do. Made me wonder if it's possible to be a true Buddhist and still be in the world...much easier to be one in a monastery somewhere with only other like-minded people. I suppose the Dalai Lama is an example of one living his beliefs out in the world.
