This was considerably darker than the first volume, which was already pretty dark. A large chunk of this volume focused on Punpun’s uncle, Yuuichi, and his relationship with
a teenage girl he mentored as a pottery instructor. His flashbacks show how that girl’s mother was abusive, so that pretty sad. And although he had a girlfriend at the time, he was still attracted to that teenager. It turned out that the girl manipulated both him and his co-worker, so things got pretty messed up.
Besides that, there was a lot of teenage/middle schooler drama with Punpun and Aiko. Aiko got her first
boyfriend. Yaguchi is probably the most wholesome character so far and I actually like him a lot!
Punpun can be dramatic and whiny, but I don’t really blame him.

A large part of this volume is about an inappropriate relationship dynamic that the uncle undertakes while he was a pottery class instructor. Keep that in mind

I don't know. It felt better than the first volume, but that is a non-achievement. I think that it is weird that this is suddently about Punpun and his uncle, but maybe the writer just started to run out of ideas. I just hope it will be better later.

Title:

Page 416 (yeah, even tho it is volume 2 of omnibus)

Notes:

We love it when men decide for women who they should be with.

The objectification of women truly never stops here, huh.

If you wonder why this is tagged for racism, the same black character is used whenever there is just a random person, who appears on the screen if they are not just a blank space.

i'm not sure if i can say i like this volume because it was extremely triggering, but if yuichi's backstory hadn't gone into detail i probably would've liked it more. the contents aren't overly detailed in a way that turns it into torture porn but still. please read content warnings beforehand.
