This author truly touches my soul with everything that she writes. Her words, characters, and stories are truly sublime. I had already read the main story about Zane/Bull from the sons of Templar but seeing the story about his "daughter" Lexu and Killian was a much needed bonus.

Looking forward to the conclusion of this.

This book killed me!!!

I loved everything about Killian and his Freckles.

Lexie had me cracking up and looking crazy this whole book. She was sweet, funny, and full of sass. and she loved with her whole dang heart.

Killian just may be my favorite heros of Annes. He was so loving, sweet, and protective. From the start, it was all about lexie and there was no stopping the love that was gonna grow.

I loved how this book flowed perfectly with the past ones but also worked great as an intro to a new book without feeling a shift. It was pretty seamless.

Now what I didn't like....

I didn't like the repeat...some of the stuff you got a glimpse of in the previous book so I felt like I was re reading that one at times. Also the ending gutted me! I knew it needed to happen but man did it kill me.

I am counting down the days for the next book that's for sure

This was a fantastic book. Everything about it, I adored. The characters and storyline were great, and it was very well-written. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.

Emotional!

Holy nuts. You'll feel every emotion you can with this book. I never expected it from teenagers but it was awesome. Absolutely love it and hated that we don't get the end yet. Can't wait for the second story.

Dnf @ 37%, story wasn’t as dark as I thought it was going to be. Well written book, just too long & slow for me

I am making my way through Anne's catalog and have had my eye on this swries. Now, I have not read Sons of Templar yet for some reason, but I didn't need it to understand the story. Lexi and her mom moved to the town, and Zane is their neighbor who takes immediate notice. Lexis and her mom remind me of a more badass Gilmore girls mom and daughter duo. Her mom had her very young, they took their car to zanes shop and she met Killian. A son of a fallen mc member and will someday be a patched member. Its immediate connection. She is 16, and he is 17, but he lives a hard life. This book took too much breaths away other than some heavy making out that is all the spice, but I didn't care. The way their friendship starts and how protective of her from.hia dark life was so gut-wrenching. I love mc Romances due to found family, and they welcome her and her mom so quickly, especially since Zane wants her. Therr si mc action, politics, first love, and almost fated mates vibes. I loved lexi she is so creative, and she loved books and music. She uses music to touch people, and everyone knows she is going to be a star one day. I was in laughs, tears, and tense to see how this unfolded. The end is a cliffhanger of the past, and the second book is the continuation of now their story. I read it all night and wouldn't change a thing.

*I recommend reading the Sons of Templar series before starting the Unquiet Mind series. Lexie's story (from Mia's POV) is told in Out of the Ashes.

A fabulous re-telling of the story from Out of the Ashes, but this time from Lexie's POV. She may be 16, but this is not a YA book. She is mature beyond her years. Heart wrenching, soul stealing moments all throughout the book. I highly recommend having book 2, Skeletons of Us on ready for when you finish this one...

Loved it! This was like getting the behind the scenes of Killian and Lexie's story from Out of the Ashes... This was how their story began.
