Predictable, unoriginal, totally redundant addition to the genre. Lack of tension except for two stereorype homophobes. And I don't get how a psychiatrist, having finished medical school, is not educated on modern gay facts. I mean, where did she get her literature? Is there a specialized publisher for medical professionals maintaining 50 year old theories?

I'm blown away by this story and the writing. The words that were woven together painted a beautiful picture of this sweet and at times emotional love story. Let There Be Light brings Camden and Royal together, and I loved their story.

Pure emotions, pure love...everything was written to show the reader everything that the characters felt, saw, dealt with. I loved everything about this book, and fell in love with both Camden and Royal. I highly recommend this book. 4.5 stars! You have to one click this book today!

I get it. I really do.

Was it the most captivating book? No. But it was an incredibly sweet slow burn. It is definitely more YAish than I usually read but I can appreciate the story as it stands. Camden and Royal burn for each other and I loved watching them come out of their shells and find themselves in each other.

It was very gay Save The Last Dance to me and that is my jam.

I love a good emotional story with two lost boys. It gets me every time.

I understand the hype.

Do not come here looking for more than one

Royal and Camden. Camden and Royal. GAH!!! There was simply no way I could not be as emotionally invested as I was. These two seemed liked such opposites, but I think that's what made them fit so perfectly with each other--like slotting into those spaces that would make the other whole. And then there was Indie who may have her own issues to deal with but there's no denying how much she loved her brother, and the same goes for the rest of the O'Connell clan who I loved seeing again in this book. Let's not forget Kai Carter, Camden's roommate and Royal's team captain and closest friend. I'm sensing a whole lot of angst for both him and Indie in book two, and I'm already getting antsy for it. If I haven't said this before in my past reviews for A.M. Johnson's books, this woman's gift for writing--whether it be fiction or poetry--appears to have no bounds. There's a lyrical--pun intended--nature to her writing that I live for, and I love that her stories are angsty yet injected with lighthearted moments. Case in point: Let There Be Light, one of the most unforgettable and stellar books of this year. Five-plus stars times infinity. ♥
