Couldn't get warm with the male character and the writing. He was all tell but little to no show, got me kind of annoyed. Yeah he's a bad and dangerous guy who has done the worst of the worst, yeah we got it. Show me a little more variety.

The dual Audio Performance with Teddy Hamilton and Angelina Rocca was a whole experience, and makes the story better. If you're considering going that route, would def recommend.

22 year old Selena pulls over on the side of the road due to visibility issues from a downpour, close to where Lex- and escaped convict, has been attempting to hitch a ride. Selena decides she'll be a good samaritan and help Lex with a ride.

This story quickly takes a dark turn as we soon realize Lex's true motive that leaves Selena wondering which fate is worst, the ones she's found herself in, or the one that waits for her at home.

There's a lot of dark and heavy content, you will often question every decisions these two make, there's steamy moments, a lot of inner struggles, and an unconventional HEA.

I did the audio/kindle version but mostly audio, and I really enjoyed the performance by both narrators. If I would've read this without the audio, I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much.

This is an okay read for a dark romance. No plot but there's smut in almost every chapter. Some scenes are also repetitive. I only wish we have another chapter set years after to see if they are still together or is now wanted by the police or something.

I bloody love Teddy Hamilton as a narrator. This is a duet narration book.
This book is full of sex and spice, and some say a little dark. I always wonder what people mean about that, I guess he is a bad boy, likes it rough oh and he is a murder… there are trigger warnings, but I am like “what for” I have listened to way worse than this.
Going back to trigger, I never like that saying, triggers.
I prefer to say maybe the book has some red flags, things you might need to know before reading or listening to.
Overall this book was good, not a strong plot as most of the book is full with spice and sex. There are more in this series but my library only has Driving my Obsession, which I think is the 4th book. I am hoping they can be read as stand-alones.
