Listening to this audiobook was more like listening to a podcast. It was definitely entertaining, but at times the book did drag.

After reading the Areas of my Expertise, I didn't think that there was anything else for me to know. OH HOW WRONG I WAS.

He is pretty funny. But may be a better vacation read. Really funny on the radio and/or TV. Maybe he is just better as a human than a writer. I don't know.

So much nonsense that I couldn't hold out for the commentary of some of my favorite Daily Show guests...

The last few disks of the audio version are "this day in the past" lists. It gets pretty tedious to listen to. The first few cds are the actual audio book. I'm not sure what to make of this book. I think John Hodgman's humor just doesn't entirely appeal to me and I found a lot of this book to fall flat. But that just might be my own personal taste.

It may be a mistake to read this from front to back like any ol' book. I probably would have enjoyed it more in bite-sized, fake trivia chunks since I had to push myself to keep going, despite finding it pretty clever.

More of the literate silliness we've come to expect from Mr. Hodgman. The personal stories are sweet and funny, but the Molemen are no hoboes.
