I understand too that it is a gory comic but at times it almost feels like there aren't stakes when you see someone get badly injured. There are some miraculous recoveries in this.
But bro Invincible is so cool, Definitely up there as one of my favourite superheroes, I have been getting through these books so fast.
I can confidently say that Omni Man would destroy Homelander in a fight, it's not even a competition.
The side characters are (generally) very interesting and likeably, so when Invincible isn't the focus it's still a good read.
It's always good fun for a side plot from ages ago to return and be more prevalent to the story, like a villian that was sidelined. It's something that lead to perhaps one of my favourite moments from this book.

Moderate: Fire/Fire injury, Stalking, Child abuse, and Body horror

Kirkman has a way of building up plot points and giving every tiny thing that happens a meaning; even if it doesn't seem that way at first, old plot points always sneak up on you and pay off.
There are big dramatic showdowns pretty frequently, due to the Compendium format, but each one still feels bigger than the previous because they build upon each other instead of being seperate stories, and the themes of justice and pondering the no-kill rule do a good job framing the whole story and giving everything the same theme.
There are a few story decisions Kirkman had made that I would do differently; but overall it's still great.
Graphic: Slavery, Child death, Violence, Blood, Body horror, and Pregnancy
Moderate: Body shaming, Sexual content, and Abortion
