I didn’t hate it, I just wish I read it when I was much younger. I would have enjoyed it much more.

Cute and quirky.
Girl likes boy. Girl get gay best friend to talk to boy for her because she ridiculously awkward-shy. Best friend starts to believe that boy likes him and not her.
It get super twisty and flip-flopped. Like all teen drama-mances, you'll get your heartstrings tweaked and this one tweaked mine a little. It was a quick read and while it wasn't one of those ones that get you overly invested to the point where you're obsessed, I found it to be adorable.

I was really intrigued by this book and its "comedy of errors" description in the book jacket, but it fell flat almost instantly. I couldn't connect to Frannie and Marcus at all. The book plodded along and I kept waiting for something interesting to happen, but it didn't seem like anything ever did. The secondary characters like Frannie's friends faded into the background and were only dragged out when necessary, so we never really got a sense of who they were at all. Still, I stuck with it, hoping something interesting would happen.
The big twist at the end was what made me really dislike this book. It was completely clumsy and much too convenient. I'm not going to spoil it here because to give it it's dues I didn't actually see it coming, but was not impressed at all when the twist was revealed.
To sum it up, M or F? certainly delivered on the errors, but missed the mark when it came to comedy.

At first I chose to read this book because the salmon colored cover jumped out at me at the bookstore. After quickly reading the book I was very glad I purchased it. The main characters are funny and get into embarrassing situations that could make any reader cringe. It's generally a light read with a complicated twist that sends the protagonists spinning, but they are able to right themselves in the end. I enjoy reading books from authors who depict characters that are LGBTQ in a good way. Papademetriou did a wonderful job developing her characters relationships and letting the reader know their good intentions that didn't always turn out so good. As a writer, this book has encouraged me to write the characters in any way I want and not to worry about what publishers, critics, or anyone else may think.

The first part of this book was okay (three star worthy). In some places it was funny and cute and awkward, but in others it just seemed to be trying to hard. I thought I had everything figured out but I was so wrong! I loved the ending, it was so unexpected and reminded me vaguely of Comedy of Errors.

****CONTAINS SPOILERS**** OMG. HOLY PLOT TWIST. Papademetriou and Tebbetts actually had me going there for a second. Like omg I WAS ACTUALLY SHIPPING GLENN AND FRANNIE SO MUCH TOWARD THE END BUT NO. and JEFFREY OMG. He got no one AW. But anyways, it was kinda slow at first but then things got pretty interesting toward the end and it went by pretty fast. I didn't think I was going to like it tbh but I ended up thinking it was pretty darn good. Awesome and adorable book!

Okay, so the writing style is mediocre at best, the characters are way too witty to be realistic, and the plot's not exactly the most original thing I've ever seen.
But it was so. damn. funny. I just don't care. Four stars, judge me how you want, I thought this book was hilarious and over the top in the best kind of way. I couldn't put it down. The story flowed well and the pace was fast. Marcus and Frannie are freaking adorable. I picked this book up as a joke, since I never read teen romance. Especially teen romance involving...chat rooms. But It was fantastic, and I take back all of my sarcasm and eye rolling.
M or F probably won't win any awards, but it's fun and a great laugh. If you're on the fence, give it a chance.
