Took me a while to get into it (my first Marian Keyes) but once I was, I loved this book. Hilarious and devastating, often in the same sentence. I sobbed through the ending.

This was my first Marian Keyes but I'll definitely seek out more because I really enjoyed this. It's a very long book and although I did feel the pace slowed down in the middle, I didn't lose interest and I was invested in Rachel's journey. She's a very messy character and it's interesting to read from her perspective because of her deep denial about her drug addiction. Keyes is a very funny writer and I loved the heartfelt, humorous tone of this book. I'll probably read the sequel Again, Rachel and I'm also interested in Grown Ups.
