4.5 / 5 ⭐️’s - What an emotional journey! I'm so glad that Calder, Eden, and Xander got their happy ending. Mia's writing is phenomenal, as always. Although the story did drag a bit in the middle, overall it was just amazing!

“It's her strength, her unwavering courage, the thing that makes her the most beautiful in my eyes.”

“Everyone deserves a love story that doesn't hurt.”

I preferred the first one as it had more action. This one was about the aftermath and so naturally was a bit less attention grabbing. I still did really enjoy it though and I’m happy Eden, Calder, and Xander got their happy endings ❤️

Calder’s obsession with coke was lowkey very endearing and I’m very glad he has unlimited access to it now haha.

I wish we had more Xander in this book! I loved him in the first one but he got a bit lost in the background here (which from a logistical standpoint I completely get but still lmao). I loved molly though!! She was such a fun character and I’m glad Eden had her in her corner helping her through everything.

Eden’s mum was INSUFFERABLE for a big chunk of the book. I understand she doesn’t want to let her go again after losing her the first time but it was still very annoying to read.

The stuff with Calder’s dad actually had my gagged. Crazy crazy times, what an interesting ending for the book!!

Eden Everson was brought as a child to Acadia, a community set apart from society in anticipation of the end of the world. Remembering only snippets of her earlier life, she has been groomed since her arrival to be the bride of Hector, Acadia’s dynamic leader, and to help lead their people to Elysium, the promised land. But Hector never figured on Eden finding a real and forbidden love within Acadia.

Calder Raynes has lived at Acadia his entire life, surrounded by family and friends. From the moment of Eden’s arrival, the two are drawn to each other, and over the years, their relationship changes from friendship to desire to love, even as Eden’s eighteenth birthday, her appointed wedding day to Hector, grows ever closer.

Eden’s and Calder’s love story unfolds beautifully in BECOMING CALDER, the companion novel to FINDING EDEN. But as in all epic love stories, tragedy accompanies joy, and events transpire that force Eden and Calder apart. Although we know that Eden has survived the events of the first book, we, like Eden, are left to mourn the loss of her love and accompany her as she learns to live in society, to make a place for herself in the world outside Acadia.

Like BECOMING CALDER, FINDING EDEN is one of the best books that I have had the pleasure of reading. It is impossible not to fall in love with these characters, to rejoice in their love, and mourn their losses. I was so emotionally invested in Eden and Calder and their stories that I couldn’t stop thinking of them long after I’d finished the books. Although I wanted to enjoy these books at a leisurely pace, and just soak up the story, I could not help but speed through them, because I just could not wait to see what happened next.

Mia Sheridan has crafted such a beautiful and touching story, and created characters that evoked emotion upon emotion. FINDING EDEN, like BECOMING CALDER, is absolutely among my top reads ever. 6+ stars doesn't seem like enough. I recommend both books to any reader looking to experience a truly beautiful story of overcoming life's obstacles and belief in the power of love.

This book picks up right where the 1st one ends. This part of the duology focuses on trying to live life outside the cult, trying to find yourself, and finding a purpose. This was a book about destiny and not letting circumstances define who you are.

This was such a beautiful love story with very sad circumstances and history. There was so much emotion written in the pages. I loved the return of the characters you loved in the 1st book, even the ones you loved to hate. The ending was perfect and felt complete. I felt like all the questions I had while reading were answered, and loose ends were tied up, even the messy ones.
