I would like to personally thank this book for busting me out of the worst reading slump I've been in so far this year. It was brought on by some drama in my personal life that kind of made picking up most books unbearable, but it turned out all I needed was this sapphic tale of revenge to get me back to myself. This book was immersive and morally complex and I enjoyed every minute of it! The writing was believable and smart without being too complicated and the pacing was excellent. Absolutely a new fave.

I haven’t watched Killing Eve, but I think fans of that show would like this book because from the clips I've seen they do exude similar vibes.
This is the kind of book that's so good, you're gonna be on a reading slump after &will forever chase that high.
Listening/reading to the audio version of this book was immaculate. It for sure elevated the reading experience so much it’s on an entirely different level. The two narrators did so well, I didn’t want to press pause ever. They were excellent in conveying the dialogues and everything else as well, it grants a fully immersive experience, it’s like I’m there with “the both of them”. Though for the “angry feminists” with actual anger issues, be careful, as you might get carried away (because I for sure did).
For the review of the actual book itself,
holy shit. The twist/reveal that they’re the same person? Fuck me. I was hoping that Scarlett would’ve helped get rid of Bash, but it was so much better. She [Allison] still deserved better though. But not everyone can have happy endings, of course. I was so happy that my suspicion that Wes would be her actual first victim instead of Bash was correct. Make a whole lotta sense that her first kill would be a ‘nice guy’.

That was a long one, but long story short, this is an actual (and not the oversexualized version) of a badass woman. 10/10 would read again and recommend the book to everyone asking why I chose the bear over the men.

This was such a satisfying revenge thriller! I loved the narrative structure and learning the different connections between the characters. Very fast-paced, switching between two POVs and relatively short chapters with tense endings kept me reading.

A serial killer FMC with a thirst for justice with a dark academia setting? Excellent 👏🏼 A 4.5 star read for me. The dual POVs were well done and the twists were *chef's kiss*.
