A wonderful book about time travel, loss, grief, finding love, and then finding love again.

Didn’t like this one as much as her previous book, mainly because, once again there were no twist to be surprised by as foreshadowing in Poston's case seems to be more like colorblocking. Also didn’t like the FMC,
she keeps waxing on about how well-traveled and experienced she is but never mentions destinations outside the major tourist attractions. She has "eaten her way around the world" but seemingly doesn’t know the first thing about cooking or culinary arts. Also you forgot your ex-boyfriend’s name? What a heartless thing to do. Also the insane amounts of privilege she has and never acknowledges once are just alienating to me.

Overall still a cute story and I loved the idea; I’ll go watch The Lake House now.

Would have loved to give five stars, especially because this novel is so finely crafted, but I can't due to the absurd amount of alcohol mentioned. Can the main characters go one day without wine, a martini or a flask at the museum? It was tiring and quite frankly annoying.

If you're a fan of the movie The Lake House, then this book is for you. I liked the characters. The banter was fun. There was just enough tension. I found myself wanting to stay up and listen to it. I resisted, but it was difficult. I'm a sucker for a good time travel story.
