I am actually astounded over how phenomenal this book was. The world building, again, was fantastic. The characters were great and I loved getting new POVs outside of just Elara’s. The way Imani handled the introduction of new, complex characters also don’t AMAZINGLY. Truly an insanely good book that deserves far more hype.

I have seen people say it reminds them of ______ authors. And I just don’t get that. Sjm did not invent stars

If I could review the last 2 chapters, 4 stars. But the rest of it? Omg. It felt like the author kept shoving in spice to try and appeal to someone (who knows who - but definitely not me), but it was entirely too much IMO. The plot itself often was completely lost because she kept shoving in scenes that were unnecessary and honestly so bad that I just skipped whole chapters. For example, the graveyard scene - no spoiler - but terrible. I don't know that I'll bother with the third one.

I’m torn on this one. The smut was a little too forced sometimes, the magic was all over the place, and the characters were sometimes cool but also low key arrogant. This was also really longer than it should have been

honestly? loved it. even more than the first one.
- multiple POVS (painful highlights were defo Enzo's pov to spov to scenes from the first book). therfore getting more of the side characters (Eli<3).Wish to see more of Leo and Isra tho.
- Elara/Enzo just so f beautiful their love. Elara badass af.
- The found family trope is a liiiitle to much for me, like it's defo very in your face. but understandably so. so yeah.
- the end???
from the moment they were in the graveyard and lukas said weird things abt Sofia  i knew and felt that there would be some dark secrets to be revealed abt her, but i didnt see it coming that she'd literally be Piscea? however it did feel awfully fishy how easy it was for Enzo and Elara to seal the coffin… like that was stinking to the heavens. and therefore i was on edge for the whole remainder of the book! it was all so happy clappy cutesy and i was sooo f scared that their bubble would burst any moment. which it did obvi but tg after their wedding ceremony which was so beautiful and emotional. i want a love like theirs.

- i want more enzo/leo bromance in the finale.
well the whole boy group should do more things together, enzo leo eli adrian and probably ariete haha, maybe even lias

- love how not everyone has their sig other within friend group (mer/leo). cause this always feels very fake in other books.
- i would love for leo to have a male love interest endgame
- we need to find eli's lost love
-
we know that ariete and mer will have something going on and i'm beyond ready for it haha. i do have to re-cast ariete in my imagination tho (probably eli as well) because since he's the eldest of the stars, i pictured him ugly, small and pig-like.. which he isn't. he's hot.

-
after all the action elara and enzo had going on (tbf his "primal instincts" aka horniness is a bit too much for me, like keep it in your pants brother) i'm scared but also excited that elara might get pregnant… like i hate it, but i wouldnt mind a happy ever after epilogue with enzo and elara having a baby. fingers crossed.
