The audiobook needs editing. Multiple times the narrator said Arthur instead of Archer. There were other issues like “dad was watching dad” but the Arthur/Archer typo was the most glaring.

Two and a half stars. I’ve discovered that a book ick of mine is instant best friends forever between adults. Such a fantasy. And the MMC has lost a daughter- the author doesn’t spend much time on his grief in a realistic way, so he comes across falsely. If you loved the Virgin River series, then this might be for you. 🤷

I enjoy the story itself and will continue the series. However, the writing was frustrating. There were a lot of inconsistencies, repetition, and what felt like unfinished conversations.

It’s a sweet romcom with some serious topics particularly with our secondary main character. I loved the atmosphere of the book which I thought I would and was largely why I read it in the first place. I’m looking forward to eventually reading the other books especially since if I’m right it’s an anthology and we’ll get to see all the ladies of the book club have a romance and story (or two).
