Listening to this on audio definitely elevated the experience for me. Jakobi Diem's voice is just perfect for them spicy scenes chile, the whisper voice he does is majestic lmao! As far as storyline, I typically stay away from books where the FMC is a big girl cause I hate the over the top fatphobia at least one side character will display or sometimes the insecurity the FMC cant seem to overcome. In this story, while there was one hater ass character, it wasn't anything unbelievable. I enjoyed learning a bit about hockey as a sport because my knowledge is at ZERO. It was refreshing to hear about an all Black hockey team, and I need to research to see if they exist in real life. Malik and Nuri's chemistry was immediate and believable, I just hated finding out she was a virgin. That lowkey ruined the book for me lmao. Virgin FMC's are a pet peeve of mine so take it with a grain of salt but yeah Otherwise, it was a nice listen that got me through a busy workday and I would recommend to sports romance lovers.
