A short and impactful book, written as a tribute to Syrian refugees. The story is accompanied by beautiful watercolor illustrations, and it comes in the form of a letter from a father to his son. I can't even imagine what it must be like to live in war-ravaged country, to have your life completely turned upside down, to lose everything and everyone that is dear to you, and to be helpless through it all. Imagine the fear, anguish, and despair war victims have to go through, especially when they have nowhere else to go. No escape in sight. I can't fathom even a fraction of their pain and suffering.

PS. I didn't rate this higher because I felt that Khaled could have done more.

Gut wrenching. Heart breaking, soul shaking. This book is short but the impact is colossal
