This is one of my favorites this year but I admit I got a little lost in the first twist. I thought this was one of the more accurate representations of lawyers I’ve read AND an accurate representation of disability. I definitely saw the final twist coming and I feel like things got wrapped up a little to cleanly but overall very enjoyable and I’ll probably even re-read in a few years.

I enjoyed it but, in my opinion it didn’t feel like a thriller until I was like 80% in. A lot of things happened in the span of two days that in real life, wouldn’t have occurred that fast. This is my first book by her, and was not disappointed tbh, I just expected it to be more suspenseful.

Fell asleep after finishing this last night so i couldn’t write my review BUT all i’ve heard is how brutal karin’s books are and that beginning was definitely a lot… and other parts ofc. i felt like the story kinda dragged but i mean the plot twist was pretty good. i do wanna read more of her books now tho!

2.5. Too long, too detailed, mostly predictable. Will not be reading anything else by K. S. Too much waffling. And twice she describes the cat in a backward C position. Yawn.

I have read some fans compare Slaughter to Tana French. Pleeeeease… Tana French is ten times greater than Slaughter!
