Loved this one. The pace is exciting, and this story keeps you on the edge of your seat. I always really like Kubica's books, and this one might be the best. She both had you entrapped in two couples' relationships and their secrets, and when someone disappears... it's time to buckle in for a wild but very plausible ride.

When Nina’s husband Jake goes missing, she thinks it’s because they had a fight. When Lily has to escape Jake, she and her husband think she may be why he’s missing. And the drama continues. Lily and Christian have to protect her pregnancy. Nina begins suspect her friends had something to do with it. Everyone feels like they can’t trust anyone
Despite the very conflicted reviews, I thought this was a solid thriller (I’d give it a 3.75). If I’m being honest, I was convinced Jake wasn’t even dead, and I had about 8 theories at any given time. I didn’t figure out the big twist until only a few pages before it was revealed…I love when that happens! It’s safe to say that even when you think you know someone and who you can trust, life will always throw you surprises…and for all that’s murdery in the world, if you’re going to be involved in a crime, learn to cover your tracks better…

Stupid! Honestly was so bored! It didn’t get interesting till about 75% in. The characters were bad and the twist at the end was stupid. Don’t recommend.

I would say this is a 3.5 stars for me. I enjoyed most of the journey but the ending seemed very rushed and at the end it jumps 8 mos forward and I really wanted to know what happened in that time. It just was alright overall.

This book was so well-paced and it gripped my attention from the start. The ending had me gasping like a fish out of water!
