Decided to read this in advance of watching a live theatre version with my 4 year old grandson in 2 days time. The aim was to reduce the number of times I have to ask him to explain the plot during the performance! I'm looking forward to his own review.

I read this 7 and a half times in a row to Lola and eventually she went from screaming to napping so I'm taking it as a win

What a classic and fun story! Kids were a little old for it, but they really enjoyed it!

obsessed with the tiger and how much everyone in the book loves him!!!! I wish he was my friend I bet we'd look cool wearing matching leather jackets

I think the story is a bit dated, but it still reads well and my little one loves the idea of a cheeky tiger who came to tea.
It isn't one of my favourites but my daughter still picks it out of her ever growing library to read for a bed time story.

Moral of the story: Tigers do not make good dinner guests.
