che bruchi semo nati
e bruchi si rimane.

داستان ساده و صریح بی‌غل‌وغش و همزمان بسیار تکان‌دهنده است: ۲۰۰ صفحه درماندگی. راویان غیرقابل‌اعتماد نیستن، فقط اساساً ناآگاهن نسبت به اونچه که اطراف‌‌شون می‌گذره. دهه‌هاست، نسل پشت نسله که اسیر فلاکتین که هرچه می‌کنن نمی‌تونن توضیحش بدن. متوجهن که همه چیز اشتباهه؛ از اولش اشتباه مطلق بوده، مطلق مطلقه، ولی در کمال تعجب همه چیز هی داره اشتباه‌تر می‌شه، و شخصیت‌ها نمی‌دونن چرا و چطور.
منم نمی‌دونم چرا و چطور. کاش این ترم هم جامعه‌شناسی روستایی که ترم گذشته از دستش دادم ارائه بشه. کاش برم باسواد شم و از مفهوم طبقه سردرآرم، و فونتامارا رو، و از خلال اون این همه تجربه‌های مرتبط دیگه رو، بفهمم و بهشون معنا بدم.

کتاب رو از کتابخونه‌ی بابابزرگم دزدیده‌م؛ چاپ سوم، سال ۲۵۳۶ شاهنشاهی. ورقه‌های کاهی داره که بوی دوران باستان می‌دن و جلدش کاغذی بوده ولی بابابزرگم خودش براش جلد سخت مشکی صحافی کرده. اسم کتاب و اسم نویسنده از جلد کاغذی اصلی بریده و چسبونده شده‌ن روی عطف سخت. بابابزرگم هم خودش کتاب رو نخریده. صاحب اول کتاب هرکس بوده صفحه‌ی اولش با خودکار آبی نوشته «انجمن اسلامی دانشجویان».

Un altro libro che ho dovuto leggere per l'università e che ho inaspettatamente amato. Che dire però? Quanta sfiga questi poveri fontamaresi.

Ho amato moltissimo questo libro: è brillante, amarissimo, deprimente ma anche divertentissimo, esasperante, geniale. Che sfiga però eh!

Fontamara is the story of the oppressed people, of the small, poor peasants cheated, ripped off, and condemned to starvation because it is so easy to take advantage of the illiterate, of their fear of authority, fear that what little they have will be taken away from they have left.
The emissary of a notable drowns them in complicated formulas; they understand nothing, but as there is nothing to pay, the villagers sign these blank sheets: they will become the agreement to divert the watercourse that irrigates their fields, signifying the death of their harvests, their death. Their death causes a bloodbath.
Fontamara is the story of the fight against fascism; let's be careful because he's never far away.
