This is one of those books where I read a library copy and now might need to purchase a copy for my shelf. While there were three or so stories in here I didn't really love, there are some true gems that I know I will return to again in the future. The link between these stories is pretty subtle for a collection, but Chang's voice is crisp and insightful. Particularly the first story of this collection, Tomb Sweeping will stay with me for a while.

I went into this hoping for similar, heartwarming stories found in What You Are Looking for is in the Library; however, this was most definitely not that. I think that some of the stories are interesting, but it was hard to figure out if the stories were all linked, or if they were really just a collection of random short stories.

I think this collection of short stories has something for everyone.

Some of the stories gave me chills, made me cry, and had to take a moment to sit and comeback to. Even though there were stories I didn't enjoy as much or at all, I'm glad I was able to read them.
