Pacing is weird, and it’s hard to tell how much time is passing. The MMC’s brother dies and he’s back to trying to get into the FMC’s pants like 5 pages later.

I had low expectations starting out, but it found a way to dig its way under it.

As an actual librarian, it's clear the reader based the fmc on a basic google search of the Dewey decimal system and garbage curvy girl stereo types. Characters are 1 dimentional, mentally in the 50s, and verbally a middle schooler trying to sound like an adult. Hard pass.

Fun and entertaining

I picked this up on a whim and enjoyed it. Aidy Award is a new to me author hut this fun quirky story was just what I needed- a new "world" to experience.

Rogue, New York is more than meets the eye. A war is coming. The librarian is apparently going to lead the charge- after she gets her wolf.

It was a great start to the series.  A librarian and a Wolf Shifter bar owner, they are fated mates, only she is human and he is a wolf shifter.  Humans are not supposed to know about their existence, it's a beautiful lighthearted romance.  I can't wait to read the next one.

I kid you not, at one point the author describes a wolf as “the color of poop”. That’s all you need to know.
