I'd been putting this off because of the content warning non con and dub con against the FMC aren't my thing without agreed upon safe words.
That said there's only one instance against the FMC and it was mild. The scenes might get worse over the series, I don’t know but I enjoyed the story and characters enough to continue.
Lost a star for the editing. There were instances of missing letters and/or words.

was not as interesting as I thought it would be. the plot had potential but the author could not do it justice.

The relationship skips suck, the story is jumpy. I lov two of the main seven and that’s why it gets any stars at all.

Obsession is the first book within The Deadly Seven series. Ever since I came across this book, I've wanted to jump into its pages to see what lurked beneath the dark shadows. Definitely devoured this and was pleasantly surprised with everyone involved.
In this, you will meet Hailee. She's on the run with her father due to a psychotic Russian guy coming after her. It doesn't help that her mother, basically an egg donor, sold her to him either. She's tired of running and constantly looking over her shoulder. The last thing she expects to find is safety in this town but maybe the Witness Protection Program will do some good. Or maybe, just maybe, it's the seven deadly sins who will?
Now the guys, aka deadly seven, are something. Either crazy or obsessive to some but protective of their own. So, with Hailee being the new girl in town they don't exactly trust her. They also aren't a fan of one of their own being undercover for them either. I definitely enjoyed getting to read from their point of views in this one. Whether it was getting to read about their nightmares or just what they thought about people living within this town. It was entertaining to say the least.
I also think I liked the guys point of views way more than Hailee's. Don't get me wrong. She's an easy girl to like and knows how to protect herself. I just think diving into their minds was way more fun since they are crazier.
In the end, I'm weirdly excited that we got inside the villain's head. Even though it was a pretty short chapter, I just want to know more about him. He's equally obsessed with her and not particularly happy with the seven guys in her life. Definitely can't wait to meet him and hopefully save her dad in the end.

I loved, loved, loved this book! These men are dark, delicious and some seriously unhinged but it was sooo good! Lots of trigger warnings so be aware but if you like dark, touch her and
