This is cute but it gets a little weird. I'm not entirely sure if its good weird or bad weird. My 3 year old loves it though.

Quick read. Light-hearted. Silly enough for a 3.5-year-old.

Silly story about an owl who destroys his house trying to find the noise that’s keeping him awake.

I wasn't a fan of the story or illustrations. Also, that's a pretty crappy little mouse that just watched this owl destroy his home while he hid and squeaked to drive the owl batty. Like, is that a good moral? And how was the owl not pissed when he finally saw the mouse? That mouse would have been EATEN. No questions asked.

Sweetly absurd and sure to be a hit with families looking for a bedtime story that's a bit different. As with many of Pizzoli's books, it's a good picture book option for beginning readers as well. It went a bit off the rails for me, but I'm sure that reading it aloud to a child would bring out the joy in it. And his illustrations are colorful, fun, and a pleasure to pour over, as always.
